They collided by chance: the ISTJ-T and the ENFP-A

I try not to stress, but it doesn’t work all the time. There are eight ways of knowing, and I prefer to lead by reason. Time is of the essence. My priorities are set, and the mind should always be clear of distractions. After all, my rule book has never led me to the wrong doors. Pragmatism runs through me; I choose to trust in old ways.

It doesn’t bother me that I spend my time on the things that bring me joy as deadlines creep closer. I always pull through regardless. Language, Sense perception, Emotion, Reason, Imagination, Faith, Intuition and Memory, are only few of the many ways to come to my temporary conclusion. Time is of the essence; still, I choose to prioritize blissful experiences over the daily routine. Such treasures are momentary and are meant to be cherished. An idealistic soul, I trust that old ways will never open new doors.

Fundamentally, we are not alike. We are not the same – not even close to being the same. We are the opposite of same.

We don’t even speak the same language. So often, there are ideas lost in translation. He speaks Cantonese, I speak Mandarin. To others, it’s all “Chinese” but it’s entirely foreign to both of us.

You would think that all we ever do is disagree, and while it’s true that we have our fair share of the “I wish you’d understand”, I am certain I would not be able to find this part of me again in the event that someday, somehow, what we have dissipates into thin air.

Because from the outside, we two appear to be yin and yang. Always side by side. We clash, we burn, we challenge each other; but together we make one. They say that being two, together, is better than one; having someone you can relate to on every level; someone that meets you halfway.

It’s rare to be just one

We collided by chance.

Jasper.
