I still resonate with it in 2026.

Actually, life is beautiful and I have time.

In the past year, ceaseless panic followed me everywhere. As the feeling of never having enough led the way, I soon lost my sense of direction. In nearly every aspect of my life, I felt as though there was no time.

Amid a frantic school year, the everlasting pandemic didn’t help either, as I was an ocean away from my family, grandparents, and dad.

On graduation, I addressed our graduating class with a speech that my Chinese grandparents could not understand a word of.

My sister moved across the continent for grad school, and my best friend moved across the world for his undergrad studies.

I want, so badly, to spend all the time I have, being around the people I love. Though, I’ve never been great at keeping contact.

Time is the biggest thief.

Do you remember how the world looked as a child? I can envision every little detail from days when I was a toddler. Eighteen years, nearly two decades, have passed since I entered the world. The days flew by. In another two decades, I’ll be in my late thirties. I wonder how the world will look like then.

Goodbyes.

Time is the greatest gift.

I remember yesterday as well as I will remember tomorrow. There is a whole life ahead full of possibility and light. With each passing day, we inch closer to a new solstice, another equinox.
